Where did the name Avianation come from?
‘AV’ – (abrv) Audio Visual. Sound and sight are also the two primary elements of identifying birds.
AVIAN – An adjective relating to birds
AVIANATE – A verb, promoting a greater understanding of bird species and their relationship to the natural environment.
AVIANATION – A noun, whereby future conservation actions are based on a greater knowledge of bird ecology
The main purpose of Avianation is to raise awareness of Australia’s bird species within the general population to ensure the best environmental outcomes for future generations.
Based in western Sydney, Avianation seeks to mitigate the destruction of Cumberland Plain Woodland due to population growth and associated urbanisation.
